Straand Hotel – Let's HUB it!
Experience an eventful and active trip on the Telemark Canal and accommodation at the historic Straand Hotel in Vrådal. During the canal cruise, you experience as many as 7 lock facilities, including Vrangfoss, which is the largest facility. The trip also offers river sailing and finally an idyllic approach to Kviteseid or Spjotsodd.

- Kl. 10.30 departure with M/S Victoria or M/S Henrik Ibsen from Ulefoss locks. Dining on board: Lunch is included in the package.
- Kl. 15.50 arrival Spjotsodd pier (applies to Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays)
- Kl. 16.20 arrival Kviteseid pier (applies to Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays)
- Transfer to the hotel. 15-20 minutes driving time.
- Overnight at Straand Hotel in Vrådal with dinner.
Itinerary Day 2:
- Enjoy the hotel's lunch
- Enjoy the day in Vrådal. The possibilities are many: go hiking in the beautiful mountains, rent a bike or canoe, or just relax!
The hotel has outdoor seating on a large terrace with great views, and there is a beach bar down on the beach.
- Dinner at the hotel.
Itinerary Day 3:
- Enjoy the hotel's lunch.
-Transfer from the hotel to the pier. 15-20 minutes driving time.
From Kviteseid (Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays):
- Kl. 09.55 meeting at Kviteseid pier.
- Kl. 10.10 departure with M/S Victoria from Kviteseid pier. Dining on board: Lunch is included in the package
- Kl. 15.20 arrival at Ulefoss locks.
From Spjotsodd (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays):
- Kl. 10.15 meeting at Spjotsodd pier.
- Kl. 10.30 departure with M/S Henrik Ibsen from Spjotsodd pier. Dining on board: Lunch is included in the package
- Kl. 15.20 arrival at Ulefoss locks.
Practical information about the canal cruise:
Parking: The car can be parked for free in the parking lot 200 meters from Ulefoss lock. There is no need for a parking permit, the parking lot is marked with a P symbol and the symbol for the Telemark Canal (a boat in a lock).
Dining on board: There is a restaurant on board the boat. Included in this package you get the 2-course lunch of the day. Time is agreed directly with the crew upon boarding. It is not possible to have a fixed table during the entire trip, and it is not allowed to bring food on board.
Travel on a Monday: On Mondays, there is a boat change in Lunde. M/S Victoria sails Skien-Lunde-Skien, while M/S Henrik Ibsen sails Dalen-Lunde-Dalen.

Practical information at Straand Hotel:
Dining: Time for dinner is agreed upon check-in. Either a 3-course dinner or a buffet is served, depending on how many people will be eating that day.
Facilities: Straand Hotel has its own beach by Lake Nisser, where they have a beach bar and many activities for children in the summer. The hotel has its own veteran boat, M/S Fram, which sails on the lakes Nisser and Vråvatn.
