From Oslo by car it will take you about 3 hours and 15 minuttes. Choose E18 to Drammen, then to Kongsberg and further E134 to Notodden, pass Seljord until you get to Høydalsmo. Turn off to road 45 to Dalen/Suleskar, from Høydalsmo it is about 20 km to Dalen. To your information the last part of the road beofre you reach Dalen, is spectacular, however, quite steep and winding, we therefore recommend low gear.
From Stavanger during summer (May until October) we recomend to drive pass Suleskar and Valle towards Skafså to Dalen. This road is breathtaking winding through magnificant natur.
From Haugesund/Bergen/Odda follow E134 over the mountainspass Haukelifjell to Åmot, turn off at Åmot towards Dalen, about 20 km.
From south of Norway you can use both the road from Kristiansand to Setesdal and Valle, or E18 to Fiansvingen between Arendal and Tvedestrand, and then over Åmli to Nisser/Vrådal, Skafså to Dalen. Ca 45 minutes from Vrådal.
