The garden
The garden of Dalen Hotel reaches out for about 10 acres and leads down to the waters of the Telemark canal and Bandak. Throughout the summer season the boats "Victoria" and "Henrik Ibsen" come up from the town of Skien. The whole trip takes about 10 hours and is a fascinating yourney with locks and powerful nature surounding the canal from start to finish.

There  are sveral happenings in the garden like Songs along the canal with its final consert held here. We cater then for BBQ buffet and beverage. The posibiliteis for large events are many. 

On warm summer evenings we will bring tables and chairs outside under the large old maple tree. This old beautiful tree is as old as the hotel and makes a magnifiscant setting for your evening company.

We also provide two small rowing boats to row on the lake or it might be an option to try a game of croquet or freesbee.
