In the autumn of 2009 the owner of Dalen Hotel, Thor Morten Halvorsen, bought M/S Henrik Ibsen. The sale was of NOK 1, however, if the ship should be accepted to bring passangers again on the Telemark canal it had to be restored from top to bottom.
We will here try to keep you updated on all the work that M/S Henrik Ibsen will go through the winter of 2009/2010. According to plan it should be finished on May 1st.
As of February 1st the bottom steel plates and engine has been mended at Hansen & Arntsen in Langesund. M/S Henrik Ibsen is now in Fjærholmen to get new floorboards, wheel house, toiletts and interiors as well as new electrical equipment.

Routes 2010 M/S Henrik Ibsen will together with M/S Victoria sail each week-end from 28/5 tol 24/6 to and from Dalen and Skien, from then on it will then have daily sailings between Dalen and Skien throughout the peak season from 25/6 to 15/8. In August an September the boats will again sail on the week-ends until 18/9, however, the last two with M/S Henrik Ibsen only between Dalen and Ulefoss.
